Observed 24-h depth data for an individual from the upper bay (black line, maximum = 6.59 m) and an individual from the lake (grey line, maximum = 19.03 m) during the peak of the post-migration period decribed in objective 1. This exemplifies the different ranges of vertical movements made in these two locations. The maximum depth available in the upper bay is ~ 8 m, while available depths in the eastern basin of Lake Ontario can exceed 75 m
