Calculated transmitter distance and distance error for the VAR drift tests. The top panel shows VAR-calculated transmitter distance (from the array) against GPS-based known distances between the drifting tag line and the array. The blue line has a slope of 1 and intercepts the origin, meaning that it represents where each calculated distance point should fall if no error occurred. Points with an X on them represent unreliable measures that were not included in the error calculations. The bottom panel shows VAR-calculated distance error across each drift test
